City Council Candidate Bio: Randy Klemm

Council/Government Experience: Even though Randy is the newest City Council member, he has served the City of Harrisburg for many years. He was first appointed to the Harrisburg Planning Commission on May 18, 2004; becoming Vice-Chair in March 2005 until March 1, 2007. He was recently appointed to the City Council, to serve the term vacated by Sarah Puls. (Ending on Dec 31, 2020). He also served on the board for the HART Community Center, as well as on the Linn County Commission on Children and Families, the Linn County Local Drug and Alcohol Planning Committee, and the Harrisburg School District.

Bio:
Randall Klemm is the owner of Managed Healthcare Pharmacy, a long term care pharmacy services provider in Eugene, Oregon. Randall, or Randy as he is known by his friends, was born in Moscow, Idaho. The son of native Idahoans, Andrew and Bits Klemm, he and his family moved to Oregon when Randy was just three years old. Randy graduated from Coquille High School in 1980 and went on to attend the United States Air Force Academy from 1980 to 1981. From there he transferred to Oregon State University and graduated in 1985 with a BS in Pharmacy. He became registered as a pharmacist in the State of Oregon in 1986. He founded Managed Healthcare Pharmacy in 1991 and is currently the consultant pharmacist and CEO. Today they employ over 90 people and serve over 3,000 patients in Oregon and Washington state.
He and his wife Debbie have been married for 26 years and live in Harrisburg, Oregon. They have 4 children, Brandi (31), Morgan (29), Haley (24), and Brayden (21). Randy has served as a councilor for the City of Harrisburg since 2018. Previously Randy served as a Director on the Harrisburg School District Board of Directors for twelve years from 2005-2017. Randy also served as president of the Rotary Club of Eugene Delta in 2014-15. He is very active in his church, Harrisburg Christian Church, having participated in a short term mission trip to Mexico in 2015 where he and his men's group built a home for a very appreciative family in Tijuana. In his spare time, Randy enjoys the outdoors, camping with his family and an occasional round of golf.
