Public Event Permit - 2023-2 for Michael Bryson Foundation to hold a 5K on August 5, 2023-APPROVED

Please see below for a copy of the approved Public Event Permit being held on August 5, 2023.

PUBLIC EVENT PERMIT REQUEST:  The MIchael Bryson Foundation has requested that they hold a 5K event on August 5, 2023.  This 5K will start at 8:00am.  The Event will start and end at Harrisburg High School.  The route is the same as that of the Firecracker 5K, and uses the same format as last year's 5K. 

Annual Harrisburg Citywide Cleanup Day is June 27; 9am

Provided by Republic Services and the City of Harrisburg.  Saturday, June 27th, from 9am-2pm at Harrisburg High School. 

This event is for City of Harrisburg residents - ID required.  $5 per load

YES, feel free to bring:  Yard debris/branches, unpainted/untreated wood, broken yard items, tvs, computers, electronics, scrap metal (must have all fluids/tanks removed), swimming pools, large appliances, broken furniture, junk.

Coloring Contest - 2025 

Coloring Sheets are available below for download, or you can also find them on Facebook, or at City Hall.  All coloring sheets need to be turned in by June 26 this year, at City hall.  Winners will be announced on Facebook on Friday, June 28!  

Groundbreaking Ceremony Eagle Park

GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY: May the 4th be with us, and with Mayor Duncan as he expertly wields the golden shovel, and we break ground at the dog park at 3:00pm on Thursday, May 4th. The Tri-County Chamber of Commerce will also be there with a ribbon cutting ceremony too! If you are interested in being a Dog Park Sponsor, and having your business name exhibited in the Park, please call Michele at 541-995-2200. (The City is working on how that program will work!) The groundbreaking ceremony will be held, rain or shine, right next to where the Dog Park will be located.
