The full-scale HAZMAT training exercise has concluded.

If there had been an actual situation, emergency managers and City staff would provide necessary instructions such as how to shelter in place or evacuate.  Updates will be shown on this website and on the City's Facebook page, should a true emergency arise.

Thank you to all of the local first responders for their time and work -- and keeping our community safe.

December 16, 2025:  The Linn County Sheriff's Office has released a forecast update from the National Weather Service.  There is a large rain event that meteorologists believe will include the southern Willamette Valley.  The bulk of rainfall is expected on Thursday, between 7:00AM and 10:00pm.  The Willamette River at Harrisburg is expected to be 'active', which is below minor flooding stage.  The Emergency Operations Center is not being activated at this time, but staff are actively monitoring conditions.  Now is the time to make sure that ditches and open culverts near your property are
