Public Works Utility II Employee
The City of Harrisburg seeks a motivated, hardworking and experienced individual to be part of our Public Works team as a Utility II employee. This position is the technician position in a series consisting of Utility I, II and III.
This employee works under the guidance of the Utility III or Public Works Foreman. The employee performs a wide variety of routine and semi-skilled tasks requiring physical activity and the use of large equipment, machinery and tools. This employee assists staff with the water treatment and distribution systems as well as collections and treatment of the waste water facility.
Public Works Utility II Position Minimum Qualifications: Minimum: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent is required. At least three years related experience in a municipal or special district water and sewer systems. In addition, the Employee must possess at least one of the following certifications:

- Wastewater Treatment
- Wastewater Collection
- Water Distribution
- Water Treatment
- Oregon State Pesticide Applicator
- And an Oregon Commercial Driver’s License(CDL)
Applicant must also be able to successfully pass a background check and complete CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) training within two weeks of hire.
Salary Range: The salary range for the Public Works Utility 1 position is $23.89 to $31.44 per hour.
