PUBLIC EVENT PERMIT REQUEST:  The MIchael Bryson Foundation has requested that they hold a 5K event on August 3, 2024.  This 5K event will be from 8:00am to 11:00am.  The Event will start and end at Harrisburg High School.  The route has been revised due to the construction on S 6th St. 

Provided by Republic Services and the City of Harrisburg.  Saturday, June 29th, from 9am-2pm at Harrisburg High School. 

This event of for City of Harrisburg residents - ID required and there is a $5.00 fee for bulky items.

Harrisburg Spring Drug Take Back Event - Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm

The Linn County Sheriff's Office periodically participates in the Drug Enforcement Administrations National Drug Take Back event in the Harrisburg Community.  During these events, citizens are able to dispose of their unused/unwanted medications, including pet medications.

This year's Spring Drug Take Back Event is Saturday, April 27, 2024.   The Linn County Sheriff's Office personnel will be at City Hall, located at 120 Smith St., between the hours of 2:30pm to 3:30.
