Taste of Tri-County and Business Expo Event - May 12, 2022

Come join the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce and Businesses from the communities of Harrisburg, Junction City and Monroe, at the inaugural Taste of Tri-County Business Expo Event!  This is an event designed to rotate between our three communities every year, with the first one being held in Harrisburg in 2022. 

Harrisburg Fire Rescue District is opening up the old fire station, located at 500 Smith St., from noon to 9:00pm on Sunday, June 27, 2021.  The old training room is air-conditioned.  In addition, a mister station will be in operation from noon to 5:00, near the fire hydrant located at 4th & Smith St. 

Stay hydrated, and cool.  If you play in the river, be respectful of the coldness of the water, and under-currents in the river.  If you are on a flotation device or a boat, you should wear a life vest for the best protection.

Public Event Permit for Harrisburg Cross Country Club - Monday, March 22, 2021 9:00 to 5:00

The Harrisburg Cross Country Club is holding a running event for high school and middle school runners. 

The route is the same as the Firecracker 5K; Starting at the High School track, runner will proceed north on 9th St. to Smith, west to 6th St., south to Priceboro, east to Cramer/Sommerville Loop, North to Sommerville Loop, west to 6th St., north on 6th St to LaSalle St, east to 9th St., and return to the high school.
