Municipal Court
The City of Harrisburg operates a Municipal Court which handles traffic offenses, municipal code violations and misdemeanors occurring within the City limits of Harrisburg.

Court staff is available Monday through Thursday 7:30am to Noon and 1pm to 5:30 pm and Friday 8am to Noon. Please be advised that staff has limited availability the day of court and may not be available to take your call or respond to emails. If you need to reach the Court, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Municipal Court is typically held once a month. The official court dates and times are posted on the City Calendar.
Appearing in Court
Arrival:
- Doors open 10 minutes before the start of court. Please arrive early to allow time for check-in and seating.
- Due to limited courtroom space, it may be necessary for visitors or companions to wait outside, unless their presence is to serve as a parent, guardian of a minor, legal counsel or interpreter.
Courtroom Guidelines:
When Court is in session, please abide by the following rules:
- Turn off all cell phones.
- Remove all hats. (Unless for religious reasons).
- Please do not talk or converse with others while court is in session.
- Please dress respectfully and avoid shorts, tank tops, crop tops, excessively ripped clothing, pajamas or slippers.
Prohibited:
- Tape recorders, video cameras, cell phones, cameras or any other recording devices are excluded for usage in the courtroom, except with the express permission of the presiding Judge.
- No weapons allowed in the courtroom. (Excludes Law Enforcement.)
- No food or drink allowed in the courtroom with the exception of clear water bottles.
- Smoking, tobacco use or chewing gum is not allowed in the courtroom.
