Eagle Park Work Party! Sat, Sept 19 9:00 to 1:00pm

This Saturday, join us at a work party in Eagle Park!  9:00am to 1:00pm, on the west bank of the big pond.    Bring your own gloves, shovels, steel tine bow rakes, loppers, and clippers. (Don't forget the sunscreen!).  Please help us clear a new trail that will eventually end where the river joins the big pond!

Public Works crew are finishing up the main part of newest wood chip pathway located on the west side of the south-west pond by September 18. Park in the middle of the ponds, at the end of the access road, and walk down the east side of the SE pond to get to the trail.   Walk north to the end of the new wood chip path, and you'll find where our next path starts!   

We will mark out the new pathway, which will eventually continue to the north point of where the Willamette River now enters the big pond.  Come on out, have a bit of a hike, work out those summer muscles, and do something wonderful for your fellow park lovers! 

To get there:  Drive down S. 2nd St., until you reach Sommerville Ave.  At the end of the street, take the gravel driveway south.  Drive past the dog park and the big pond, to the middle of the pond area.  (See map below).
