2026 General Election

The General Election for the City Council of the City of Harrisburg, is November 3, 2026.

The City of Harrisburg has four (4) positions whose terms will come to an end this December 31, 2026. The role of Mayor, currently held by Robert Duncan and three (3) City Council positions currently held by Kim Downey, Charlotte Thomas, and Cindy Knox. 

All positions are non-partisan.  Council positions are elected at-large, meaning candidates may reside anywhere within the City of Harrisburg jurisdictional borders.  All positions are volunteer and are non-paid.

All terms will begin on January 1st, 2027, with the first City Council meeting scheduled for January 12, 2027. The Mayor's position is a two-year term, ending December 31st, 2028.  The City Council positions are a four-year term ending December 31st, 2030.
