The Harrisburg Library Guild is always looking for members!   We are an official non-profit association.

Members of the Harrisburg Library Guild all have a common goal of improving our Library.  We are an extremely active group, who has a lot of fun together.  But don't let all of the hard work we do scare you away from joining!  You can be involved as much or as little as you like.  Our fundraising activities are geared towards building a new Library, and providing support for the current one.

THE OFFICIAL STUFF:  The Harrisburg Library Guild is a volunteer organization dedicated to the literacy and education of the people of the greater Tri-County area of Linn, Lane and Benton Counties.  We support the City of Harrisburg Library by advocating the enhancement of the facilities, raising of supplemental funds and providing volunteers to promote the enjoyment of the library by the whole community.  Our sole purpose is to enhance the quality of our city Library.  Our past, present and future activities have and will be to provide auxiliary support to the City of Harrisburg Library with its efforts to provide services to the community. We have voted to support and promote the future City of Harrisburg Library/Community Center, that is shown in the Harrisburg Redevelopment Agency Boundaries.  This support may include the following:

Promoting for improvement and enhancement of the facilities
Providing books, computers, and other equipment as needed
Providing volunteers for events
Promotion of library functions, events, and causes, such as children's programs, and adult literacy.

Come and join us!  Our Library owes a great deal to the dedicated support of persons who assist with fundraisers and contribute in other ways to help out the Library.  If you would like to join the Harrisburg Library Guild too, please call Mandy at 541-995-6949, or Michele at 541-995-6655.
