Crime Prevention Forum Meeting! July 20, 2022 at 6:30 pm

WHAT ARE THEY?

The City and Linn County Sheriff's Office will be holding another Crime Prevention Forum to engage and enable our citizens to stop crime before it starts! The forums are a series of meetings intended to create crime prevention networks in your neighborhoods. These networks will assist the City and Linn County Sheriff's Office to drive community awareness, increased reporting of suspicious activities, and identify crime prevention measures you can implement in your neighborhoods.

Volunteers have produced a wonderful walking / driving tour guide that you can use to discover the history of Harrisburg. A printable version of the guide is available for download at the bottom of this webpage.

 

Harrisburg 100-Acre Park Community Forum

The City of Harrisburg and our Consultants, Cameron McCarthy, will be holding our 3rd public forum and open house in regards to the 100-acre park on Tuesday, May 17th, from 6:00 - 7:30. The open house will be held in the Harrisburg Justice Center, located at 354 Smith St. 

4th of July Firecracker 5K Run/Walk Event

The Harrisburg Firecracker Run/Walk Event is back!   On Sunday, July 5, you can jog, walk, run, skip or stop and smell the flowers....It's all good, and designed to get you up and moving!   The route will start from the grade/middle school cafeteria parking area, and is the same as in prior years.

  • Kids Fun Run     10:00am

Checkered Past Clinic - Sunday, April 17th. 2016

The Harrisburg Public Library is proud to sponsor a Checkered Past Clinic this Sunday, April 17th, 2016, from 1:00 to 2:30 in the Harrisburg High School Gym, located at 400 S. 9th St.

The 2nd Annual Harrisburg Multi-Cultural Celebration

The Harrisburg Public Library and the H.A.R.T. Family Resource Center have teamed up to bring Harrisburg the 2nd Annual Multi-Cultural Celebration.  This event is held on Saturday, April 16 from 10:00 to 4:00, at the Harrisburg Middle School covered playground. (7th & Smith St.)  This event is always free, and family-oriented!
