4th of July Volunteers Needed!

The Harrisburg Festival and Events Association has been running the 4th of July events in Harrisburg for over 68 years!  (Sometimes under a different name.)  Everybody loves our family oriented events; but we need enough people to help us out, and to make the event special for everyone!  Please consider volunteering, even if it's only for a few hours.  In 2023, we will not be able to hold the parade unless we have enough volunteers!   Please contact us....just a few hours on this day will help all of our community have a great 4th of July.  We also need volunteers to help judge, work on the

The biggest event in Harrisburg is the Old Fashioned 4th of July celebration.  Harrisburg still honors our nations birthday today much the way it was done a hundred years ago, with Family, Community, and lots of Fun!

Bordered by the beautiful Willamette River, the City of Harrisburg, Oregon, is the home of 3,600 friendly citizens.

We are proud that our city was named an ALL-AMERICA CITY FINALIST in 2006 and won the 2002 AWARD OF EXCELLENCE from the League of Oregon Cities. This award is given to a city that has taken an innovative approach to city operations and providing services.

Transportation Options

The City of Harrisburg is located in Linn County, and as such, belongs to an area that is covered by the Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments.  Amongst other services they offer, they are able to offer transportation solutions to citizens meeting eligibility requirements.  These are some of the options available to the citizens of Harrisburg:

Information in Regards to Dogs

The Linn County Sheriff's Office is in charge of Animal Control for Linn County, and for the City of Harrisburg.  If you have complaints about dogs, whether it's a lost dog, a loose dog, or to report abuse, neglect, or a vicious dog, please contact their department during the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  The number is 541-967-3925.  The LCSO website, has excellent information about dogs, including pictures of lost dogs.  Please note that complaints about dogs, or reports about lost dogs, can't
