Join the Fun

The Harrisburg Skatepark opened on December 7th, 2008. It is 11,000 square feet with sections for both street and bowl. It was designed and built by internationally known Dreamland Skateparks with input from local skateboarders. BMX bikes are allowed, but not with pegs.

The skatepark facility includes a a viewing area, picnic table and water fountain. There are restrooms nearby for pubic use at the Museum.

Senior Resources

There are lots of great resources out there for seniors.  These are just a few of them!

The Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments has a great senior services page.  Senior and Disability Services has set up an Aging and Disability Resource Connection, or ADRC.  This is a free service that offers the public a single source for information, and assistance on issues affecting older people, and those with disabilities, regardless of their income.  The link to their website is below, but you can also call ADRC toll free:  1-855-673-2372.

Picnic Pavilion

Located in Heritage Park, next to the Museum, the Picnic Pavilion is a building designed with flexibility. It can be enclosed or made to be very open. It is a great place for picnics. It will accommodate groups of 10 to 100. Reservations are required, and there is a rental fee.

For a group picnic and a stroll down memory lane at the adjoining museum, the Picnic Pavilion is worth checking out.

For information or reservations, call (541) 995-4844.

Volunteer on a City Board or Committee

Streets, businesses and houses may make a city, but it takes volunteers to have a community.  We are fortunate to have many great citizens help out in our City in many different ways.  Our City could literally not function without you. Volunteers find great satisfaction in serving others and their community. One component of that satisfaction is that the volunteers work in areas that interest them.
