Help Wanted!  Part-Time Librarian

The City of Harrisburg Public Library, is currently hiring a part-time Librarian.  The shifts are Thursday through Saturday for a total of 11 hours.  This position is hourly and not exempt.  The position is part-time, and non-benefits eligible.  

Two Librarians together help to plan, organize, and implement the operations and functions of the Public Library. This new Librarian will be responsible for activities at the Public Library, including maintenance and control of physical Library collections, inventory of collections, programs, events, and fundraising. He/she works extensively with the public of all ages. This includes answering questions, assisting with computer usage, and facilitating group activities. Applicant must be able to successfully pass a background check and complete CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) training within two weeks of hire. 

The wage scale for a Librarian position is $17.94 to $23.61.
