Title:  Council Member

Name:  Jeremy Moritz

Current Term:  Jan 1, 2023 to Dec 31, 2026

Council/Government Experience:  Jeremy served the City of Harrisburg since 2018.  He was appointed to the Planning Commission in 2018 and served for approximately 8 years (2018-2026).  He replaced the outgoing Charlotte Thomas who moved up to the City Council.  He was then appointed to the City Council in 2026.  Ironically, he also replaced Charlotte Thomas.  During his time on the Planning Commission, he was voted as Vice-Chair on several of those years and even Chaired meetings multiple times.

Currently Jeremy is the Executive Director of the Eugene Builders Exchange in Eugene, OR where he works extensively with the construction industry. He works with General Contractors, Subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, municipalities (federal, state, county, city, and local governments and agencies), school districts, etc.  Before that, he worked for a couple of local subcontractors.

Jeremy was basically born and raised in Harrisburg.  He moved away for a small stint to Junction City, but Harrisburg kept calling him home.  He loves this community and enjoys serving it.  Jeremy lives with his wonderful wife Trina and they have 4 adult children.  They are currently loving the empty nest and enjoy getting out as much as possible.  He is very passionate about his faith and attends church regularly.  Jeremy lives by 4 principles and tries to use those to guide his life:  Reject Passivity, Accept Responsibility, Lead Courageously, and Expect God’s Greater Reward.
