Presentation on NEAR Sciences at the City of Harrisburg Work Session Scheduled for Wed, April 26 at 6:30pm
The Mayor of Harrisburg is inviting the community to attend a presentation on NEAR sciences. NEAR stands for Neurobiology, Epigenetics, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Resilience. The presentation will include information in regards to Trauma Informed Care (TIC).
The presentation will focus on the impacts of trauma, toxic stress, and adversity on human development and systems (i.e. community, organization, group, etc.) function. The presentation will last approximately 1 hour; 45 minutes for the presentation, and 15 minutes for questions and the end.
