Crime Prevention Forums
Calendar Date:
WHAT ARE THEY?
The City and Linn County Sheriff's Office will be holding Crime Prevention Forums to engage and enable our citizens to stop crime before it starts! The forums are a series of meetings intended to create crime prevention networks in your neighborhoods. These networks will assist the City and Linn County Sheriff's Office to drive community awareness, increased reporting of suspicious activities, and identify crime prevention measures you can implement in your neighborhoods.
WHEN ARE THEY?
The first two forum meetings have been scheduled and future meetings will be scheduled soon. The first two meetings are February 18th and March 3rd at 6:30 pm. The meetings will be held in the Harrisburg Justice Center at 354 Smith Street.
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?
Crime has been on the rise in Harrisburg and we want to reverse this trend immediately. Increased patrol and responding to criminal activity is a good start, but the best proven method to reduce crime is to stop it before it begins. Come out to these forums to learn the skills necessary to fix the issue.
So come along, invite your neighbors and friends. We'll see you soon!
