Mayor Duncan has lived in one of the oldest homes in Harrisburg for 39 years.  He is a finish carpenter by trade.  He and his lovely wife Donna raised two children in Harrisburg, with both attending and graduating from Harrisburg schools.  While Bobby has served as Mayor, the City of Harrisburg has won the 'Award of Excellence' from the League of Oregon Cities, and was a Semi-Finalist for the 'All-America City' award.   The basis for being a semi-finalist was the City's ability to 'build bridges' between the city, citizens and private organizations to work together cooperatively to accomplish things that could not be done individually.

One of Mayor Duncan's goals as Mayor was to establish a parks system.  When he started as Mayor, the City had only one park.  The City has since adopted a Parks Master Plan, expanded on Riverfront Park, and has added other four parks to the City since he first started holding the position of Mayor.

Even after 19 years of being the Mayor of Harrisburg, Bobby is humbled and honored to serve our citizens.  He is a kind and caring person who uses humor in appropriate ways to help persons - including councilors, staff and citizens- relax when discussing difficult issues.  He has a way of asking questions that puts people at ease.  No one has ever left a City Council meeting without having had an opportunity to discuss their concerns.
